For all the font nerds.
Anyone who has spent lots of time trying to get a research paper to fit within the parameters required by this or that instructor has fudged margins and fonts to achieve a barely passing grade. So you go to the fonts menu and try the various styles available. That’s how I first came to know of Helvetica, during one of those all-nighters trying to finish a paper. It’s appropriate that this homage to the classic font takes the shape of a coffee mug. I spent many over-caffeinated nights with bleary eyes looking at the sans serif characters. — from Veer

When you break it, I wonder if the real person dies in real life? I bet not.

A real talking point around the dinner table. Each plate has an anonymous figure in silhouette. Underneath, there are details of when and where that figure was photographed. The eater is encouraged to stop for a moment, and contemplate the hidden world emerging on his or her plate. — from freshwest design.

I think I’d be pretty creeped out eating margarine off of one of these plates. Or drinking non dairy creamer. Organic stuff would be fine, otherwise it might be a little chemically.

Makes me feel a little better about not finishing my plate.

How it works: dual-chamber design
Deposit food and paper waste items at any time, on any day. For best results, cut items into small pieces. Items remain in the upper chamber, where ideal “hot composting” conditions are maintained: mixing, air flow, heat, and moisture (see diagram). The energy released destroys odors, pathogens, and seed germination. The compost is later transferred through a trap door to the lower cure tray chamber, where it continues to compost while you add fresh waste items to the upper chamber. — from Naturemill.
